There was a time when this awesome little game was only available on Steam for just under $2. It has an amazing soundtrack to it, is very playful in its’ narration (reminds you of Portal series).
They’ve realized their under-pricing now and launched on the Mac App Store for $8.99.
It is still worth twice more than that. So go ahead, download the game and HAVE. A. BALL.

I am starting to feel a headache from the continuous use of headphones I have so I must stay off them for a while. Since I have a new set of speakers, it works out good.

I met an aerial photographer last week and here is some information I can share from the conversation. At a height of 6 to 7 kilometers, you could practically get pictures with a resolution of 1m. Pictures taken from aircraft for surveys usually are taken from multiple cameras and then composed together to make an image. Image sizes easily reach a few tera bytes. And then for some special purposes, people fly as low as 1 km. Imagine detecting which song is played on your friends iPod from a kilometer above. Things could get a little on the embarrassing side too, but that would not be the first time technology tripped some one (Ever left your webcam on or typed on the wrong chat window ?).
Another random fact:
Once in a while, satellites capture aircraft in flight. You can watch some of them through the .kml file available on this page. Ofcourse, you need Google Earth!
Sorry folks for not being myself over the past few days. Those of you who have tried to reach me might have felt frustrated at not hearing back from me. Apologies for that and I promise to rectify that soon. I am going through a short-lived phase of uncertainty that had blurred my judgment. The bright side is that it won’t be long, so hang in there. Hugs to all of you, as always.

(I decided to leave this one at 4. It became too tough to decide amongst the remaining contenders. Might revisit it tomorrow.)
The last weekend was a boat trip to Hanko. Absolute fun (Isn’t the combination of women & saunas exactly that?). Above all, I learnt stuff about navigating in the sea. The best part was the ride back at 2 in the morning with a little darkness around us around because of the clouds (remember, this is Finland?). Throughout that ride, I stood at the front with a flashlight, binoculars, a compass and the sea charts looking out for buoys and other navigational aids helping the skipper. I will write in detail about that later. For now, it is lists.
Inspired by High Fidelity, I have been obsessed with top 5 lists since morning. Out of approximately 10 lists that I created, I would put up a few now in here and invite you all to add yours or well, begin a new list.

This video is the first published one in the series of time-lapse videos that I will be posting in the coming days. This video was created by clicking a low-res (800×600) picture at 60 second intervals from 0530 hrs to 2100. As you can see in the video, the length of the day is almost 11 hours these days and should become more than 12 hours before the end of March, increasing constantly till midsummer.
